The project involves replacing the 1.7-mile-long bridge on I-695/MD 695 that crosses the Patapsco River. It will be completed in two phases. Phase 1 (pre-construction) is currently underway. Kiewit is collaborating with the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) and key stakeholders to define the project scope and requirements.Early Works/Phase 2 will cover the final design, engineering, and construction. Pre-construction activities began in January 2025, with demolition and geotechnical exploration activities.
