Metro traction power system upgrades on the Red, Green, and Orange lines

Project Scope

The $69.7M contract includes the purchase and installation of electrical equipment at five (5) tie breaker stations and eleven (11) traction power substations to accommodate the additional power capacity as required for 100% 8-Car Train and State of Good Repair Programs. These facilities are located along the red, green, and orange lines located in Virginia (VA), the District of Columbia (DC) and Maryland (MD).
